BCAMS Graduate Student Scholarship
The Broward County Association of Media Specialists offers scholarships for students for graduate programs in library and information studies. The scholarship consists of a $400 to $500 cash award.

 

 

Deadline: TBA

 

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must complete the attached form.
  2. Candidate must be accepted or currently enrolled into a graduate program in Library Science or Educational Media.

  3. Candidate must be a resident of Broward County and/or teaching in Broward County.

  4. Candidate must participate in an interview with BCAMS representatives.

  5. Candidate must provide two letters of recommendation from colleagues or professors.

 

Criteria:

The scholarship is awarded based on the responses given by the candidate at the interview with BCAMS representatives, review of professional recommendations and financial need. Interested parties should forward application, letter of intent, letter of acceptance from graduate school or recent transcript and two letters of recommendation to:

BCAMS/FAME Intellectual Freedom Essay Student Scholarship

 

The Broward County Association of Media Specialists is offering a $100 scholarship to Broward County students. Interested applicants must submit an essay on intellectual freedom, fill out both the BCAMS form, and the FAME (Florida Association for Media in Education) form. The winner in Broward County will be sent on to the state level to compete for a $1000 scholarship. 

 

Essays must be submitted to Lenora Smoot, Monarch High School by TBA.  More information to follow.
